As a company, we pride ourselves on making sustainability one of our strategic pillars. Since the formation of YCOM, sustainability cuts through what we do. From increasing the well-being of our employees through the reduction of the environmental footprint, to the advanced research of lightweight sustainable materials.
COMPANY
We want to lead the road to sustainability within the Motorsport industry and ultimately support the “UN Sustainable Developments Goals”. Across the years, YCOM has engaged in: Ecovadis CSR assessment (Silver level in 2019); Solar Panel installation on YCOM’s headquarter roof (19,845kW nominal power); Advanced research program in collaboration with Bcomp to accelerate the use of natural fibre (structural and non-structural components).
Sustainable investment is part of everyday routine at YCOM. Energy and resources are managed at best to make each drop count: we make use of a closed water circuit for the Autoclave cooling system, we don’t use plastic bottles, and we recycle every material as far as conducting an overall recycling program, from manufacturing to office waste, including wet and dry carbon fibre.
In 2016, we replaced all office windows to improve YCOM facility’s indoor comfort: heating and cooling consumption have been reduced by 35%.
In 2017, we gained ISO-9001:2015 certification. In 2020, we onboarded the complete renovation of cooling and heating systems that we completed in 2021. In 2022, we obtained the ISO-14001certification.

PEOPLE
YCOM considers employee well-being a fundamental component of sustainable growth and a strong performance accelerator. We invest in employees’ training and welfare programs: the “Good Health and Well-Being Program” is in place since 2013 (including an internal fitness center). In 2017, we added the “Welfare Program” to the “Good Health and Well-Being Program”.
We are a waste-free company with free water dispensers to eliminate the use of plastic bottles, in-house kitchens with dishwashers to eliminate disposable dishes, and a digital file repository to minimize paper consumption.
