08 Jul YCOM opens its doors to “Imprese Aperte”
For the first time, YCOM opened its doors to students, families and members of the local community through Imprese Aperte, the initiative promoted by Unione Parmense degli Industriali to strengthen the connection between companies and the territory.
Held at the end of the working day, the event offered the opportunity to discover YCOM from the inside, experiencing firsthand the company’s identity, values and multidisciplinary expertise. More than simply presenting our history, we highlighted our culture and the passion behind each project – the passion that drives our advanced engineering and high-performance vehicle manufacturing solutions.
A JOURNEY THROUGH YCOM
Following a welcome introduction, visitors embarked on a guided tour through the company led by our CEO Nicola Scimeca to discover the different stages that transform an engineering concept into a finished high-performance component.
The experience began in one of YCOM’s conference rooms, where Nicola explained the company’s mission and vision. Visitors were then introduced to YCOM’s Engineering Department, where they gained an overview of the technical team’s role and contributions.
From there, the tour continued into the Manufacturing Area, offering a close-up view of composite materials throughout their production journey:
From raw materials in their original state, through lamination, autoclave curing, machining and final quality control, visitors followed every critical step of the process. This path provided a clear understanding of the level of expertise, precision and teamwork required to produce components that meet the highest quality standards.
BUILDING CONNECTIONS THROUGH KNOWLEDGE
Opening the company’s doors provided an opportunity to encourage dialogue and strengthen the relationship between the company and the local community.

Events such as Imprese Aperte help raise awareness of the industrial sector and the wide range of professional opportunities it offers, creating meaningful connections between companies and future generations.
